Introduction:
THIS STUDY IS TO KNOW THE MESSAGES THAT BELONG TO THE FIRST ANGEL MESSAGE. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW OUR MESSAGE BECAUSE, it is – HOW CAN WE SHARE OUR MESSAGE IF WE DON’T KNOW AS SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS.
Prayer Thought:
“John sees the little book unsealed. . . . Then Daniel’s prophecies have their proper place in the first, second, and third angels’ messages to be given to the world. The unsealing of the little book was the message in relation to time. {CTr 344.3}
The books of Daniel and the Revelation are one. One is a prophecy, the other a revelation; one a book sealed, the other a book opened. . . . The special light given to John, which was expressed in the seven thunders, was a delineation of events that would transpire under the first and second angels’ messages. . . . The first and second angels’ messages were to be proclaimed, but no further light was to be revealed before these messages had done their specific work. . . . {CTr 344.4}
Let’s start dig deep into the mine of TRUTH!
Rev. 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people (WORLD-WIDE MESSAGE)
Rev. 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
What does ANGEL mean?
MESSENGER or a message
WHAT DOES LOUD VOICE MEAN?
It connotes urgency with great importance to be proclaimed to all
Where is the location of the angel?
IN MIDST OF HEAVEN
What does FEAR GOD mean?
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
SIN in any degree is offensive to God. PP 61
How can we hate sin?
normally we love to sin – Psalm 97:10
How can we love God if we don’t know HIM personally.?
That is why we need to study His word especially the VERY LIFE OF CHRIST
It is ignorance of Him that makes men so uplifted in their own righteousness. When we contemplate His purity and excellence, we shall see our own weakness and poverty and defects as they really are. We shall see ourselves lost and hopeless, clad in garments of self-righteousness, like every other sinner. We shall see that if we are ever saved, it will not be through our own goodness, but through God’s infinite grace. {COL 159.1}
Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!

1 JOHN 3:4 SIN IS TRANSGRESSION TO GOD’S LAW
In other words, if we love GOD we must stop sinning.
JAMES 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all
THIS VERSE TELLS US THAT WE MUST OBEY HIS LAW PERFECTLY and it is very possible if we depend fully to JESUS

THE LAW OF GOD
Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
THE LAW OF GOD IS THE REFLECTION OF GOD’S CHARACTER
GOD is just and right (Deut. 32:4)
GOD is GOOD (Mk 10:18 & Ps. 73:1)
GOD is HOLY(1 Peter 1:16)
A simple emphasis of Christ righteousness
Christ was obedient to every requirement of the law…….By His perfect obedience, He has made it possible for every human being to obey God’s commandments. When we submit ourselves to Christ, the heart is united with His heart, the will is merged in His will, the mind becomes one with His mind, the thoughts are brought into captivity to Him; we live His life. This is what it means to be clothed with the garment of His righteousness. {COL 311.4}
The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin….Only that which is in accord with the principles of God’s law will stand in the judgment. {COL 316.2}
FEAR GOD includes message such as
1. HATING AND OVERCOMING SINS
2. TRUE REPENTANCE ( you can’t hate sin if you don repent).
3. KEEPING GOD’S COMMANDMENT(10 COMMANDMENTS).
4. GOD’S GRACE OR MERCY-CHRIST’S DEATH-we can’t repent and be forgiven without God’s grace or His death (TITUS 2:11-12; Rom. 6:1).
5. TRUE FAITH- It is always coupled with obedience to His law (Rom. 3:31; Gal. 5:6, John 14:15).
6. MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT- we can’t repent, hate sins and keep His commandments without the aid of the HOLY SPIRIT. (Gal. 5:22-23; Eph. 5:9, Rom. 8:4)
WHAT DOES GLORY MEAN?
Exodus 33: 18-19
Moses when he prayed, “I beseech Thee, show me Thy glory” (Exodus 33:18). To Moses was revealed God’s character. “The Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. (Exodus 34:5-7). (9MR 296.2)
Colossians 1:27 – “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
The ideal of Christian character is Christlikeness. There is opened before us a path of constant advancement. We have an object to gain, a standard to reach, that includes everything good and pure and noble and elevated. There should be continual striving and constant progress onward and upward toward perfection of character. 85 {CCh 78.6}

What does give glory mean?
Exodus 33:18-19; 34:5-7

True temperance teaches us to dispense entirely with everything hurtful, and to use judiciously that which is healthful. { FLB 231.8 }
PHYSICAL LAW IS PART OF THE MORAL LAW
(Exo.15:26)
Transgression of physical law is transgression of the moral law; for God is as truly the author of physical laws as He is the author of the moral law. { COL 347.1}
give glory— means to be like Christ in character
It includes HEALTH MESSAGE or reformation of every aspect of life such as dress, food, music, conversation, habits and lifestyle.. in other words, whatever we do -must give glory to GOD.
For the hour of his judgment is come (Revelation 14:7)
Judgment includes INVESTIGATION, VERDICT and REWARD (either Eternal Life or punishment)
It includes the messages such as
1. 2300 PROPHECY – through this study we will know the starting point of the JUDGMENT (Dan8:14)
2. INVESTIGATIVE JUDGMENT – since 1844 and it is ongoing.. it started from the DEAD.. soon it will pass to the LIVING (Rev20:12; 2Tim4:1)
3. SANCTUARY TRUTH – it is always accompanied with JUDGMENT (Dan. 8:14; Heb. 9:24; Heb. 8:1-3; Heb. 9:2-5)
4. JUDGMENT AFTER DEATH— when a person is dead- the investigation and verdict are done and then the punishment will be given after 1000 years (Heb. 9:27)
5. Close of Probation – the investigation and verdict are done. (Rev. 22:11) Heb. 9:27, (5T 212.5; Dan. 12:1)
6. Seven Plagues – punishment to the unrighteous living be given partially(Rev. 15:8)
7. SECOND COMING OF CHRIST – the living wicked will receive their punishment partially and the righteous dead and righteous living will receive their eternal life(reward)1COR15:51-51;1Tes4:16-17
8. 1000-YEAR – The saved ones will JUDGE the wicked people and fallen angels(1Cor6:2-3);GC 660.4
9. FINAL JUDGMENT AFTER 1000 YEARS – all the unsaved ones will receive their final reward- second death (Rev. 20:9)
THE BASIS OF THE JUDGMENT
The law of God is the standard by which the characters and the lives of men will be tested in the Judgment. Says the wise man: “Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into Judgment.

OUR RESPONSE
2 COR 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith;
We shall have to criticize ourselves closely, and allow not one unfavorable trait to remain uncorrected. { COL 331.1}
1 Corinthians 15:34 – Awake to righteousness, and sin not;
1Pet. 1:15-16; Mat. 5:48; Rev. 3:21
“Worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Revelation 14:7)
Exo. 20:11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
COMPARE THIS TO THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT OF GOD
THE BIBLE IS TALKING ABOUT THE SABBATH SPECIFICALLY
It means that we must tell the non-Adventists about the true Sabbath day and we, Adventists too are reminded to keep the Sabbath in a biblical way.
There is a need of Sabbath reform among us, who profess to observe God’s holy rest day….. Those who are careless in their observance of the Sabbath will suffer great loss. RH March 18, 1884 par. 7
But the seal of the living God is placed upon those who conscientiously keep the Sabbath of the Lord.” {RH, April 27, 1911 par. 26}
PEN OF INSPIRATION
“call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; and . . . honor Him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isaiah 58:13.
Nor does the prohibition end here. “Nor speaking thine own words,” says the prophet. Those who discuss business matters or lay plans on the Sabbath are regarded by God as though engaged in the actual transaction of business. To keep the Sabbath holy, we should not even allow our minds to dwell upon things of a worldly character. …The inmates of the house are to lay aside their worldly business during the sacred hours. (PP307-308)
The Fourth Commandment is virtually transgressed by conversing upon worldly things or by engaging in light and trifling conversation. Talking upon anything or everything which may come into the mind is speaking our own words.. {CG 529.3}
Sabbath Hours Not Ours but God’s.–{CG 529.2} When the Sabbath commences, we should place a guard upon ourselves, upon our acts and our words, lest we rob God by appropriating to our own use that time which is strictly the Lord’s.
Nehemiah 13:16-17
There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?
CONSIDER THESE REMINDERS ABOUT SABBATH
Exodus 16:23
And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
THE BASIS OF THE TRUTH IS FOUND IN ISAIAH 8:20
Be not only hearers, but doers of the Word. Meet God’s standard in the education of your children. Let them see that you are preparing for the Sabbath on the working days of the week. All preparation should be made, every stitch taken, on the six working days; all cooking for the Sabbath should be done on the preparation day. It is possible to do this, and if you make it a rule, you can do it…. { BLJ 157.2}

TO THE TESTIMONY which is the SPIRIT OF THE PROPHECY (Rev.19:10)
NOTE THAT THIS IS VERY CONTROVERSIAL ISSUE IN THE CHURCH BUT I RATHER OBEY WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE AND SOP
Preparation for the Sabbath — The Sabbath should be as sacredly observed on the camp-ground as it is in our homes. We should not let the bustle and excitement around us detract from its sacred dignity. No cooking should be done on that day. The instruction which God gave to Israel should not be disregarded: “Bake that which ye will bake today, and seethe that ye will seethe;” for “tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord.” Exodus 16:23. God meant what he said when he gave these directions; and shall we, who are presenting to the people the claims of the divine law, break that law ourselves, merely to please the appetite?—God forbid. There has sometimes been almost as much cooking done on the Sabbath as on other days; and the blessing of God has been shut out by our failure to honor him in keeping the Sabbath according to the commandment. { GosHealth April 1, 1898, par. 15 } All needful preparation should be made beforehand. On Sabbath morning, if the weather is cool, let hot gruel, or something equally simple, be provided, and for dinner some kind of food may be warmed. Further than this, all cooking should be avoided as a violation of the Sabbath command. { GosHealth April 1, 1898, par. 16 }
Speak not lightly of the restrictions placed upon Israel in Sinai regarding the cooking of manna. The Lord has placed barriers around his Sabbath, that it may not be regarded with the least carelessness or irreverence. When the Lord said, “Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath: bake that which ye will bake today, and seethe that ye will seethe,” he meant that Friday should be our preparation day, in which we are to do all our cooking. The Sabbath is not to be a day when tidbits shall be prepared or cooked. If it is really essential to have beans on the Sabbath, let them be cooked on Friday, and kept warm in the oven. They need not be eaten cold unless preferred. But let no remarks be made as though it were a very light thing whether or not we regard the special requirements of God in regard to the Sabbath. It is not left for any man or woman to venture to disregard one requirement of God. { RH June 8, 1897, par. 3 }
I see no question in this matter as to what we shall have on the Sabbath day. The food which we have provided on the preparation day can be placed on the table warm, especially in cold weather. In traveling, persons eat cold lunches for days together, and realize no inconvenience or harm. We want palatable, healthful food every day of the week; but upon the Sabbath, let your cook have her day of rest, in the place of cooking for a family. Let every provision be made on Friday. But do not let the Sabbath be regarded as a day in which to get something especially gratifying to eat. Educate your children and every member of the family to enjoy plain, simple food, and to be ready to receive the blessing which the Lord of the Sabbath is waiting to bestow upon all who are in an attitude to receive it. He has this for everyone who shows his love for God in keeping holy the Sabbath day, God’s great memorial of creation. Speak softly, walk softly. Let not a word of lightness or trifling come from your lips. This is God’s day. He has blessed the seventh day, as his Sabbath, to be sacredly observed. { RH June 8, 1897, par. 4
EXCEPT FOR NECESSITY OR EMERGENCY – WE CAN WORK ESPECIALLY CARING THE SICK , BUY OR COOK
Divine mercy has directed that the sick and suffering should be cared for; the labor required to make them comfortable is a work of necessity, and no violation of the Sabbath. But all unnecessary work should be avoided. Many carelessly put off till the beginning of the Sabbath little things that should have been done on the day of preparation. This should not be. Any work that is neglected until the commencement of holy time should remain undone until the Sabbath is past.482 { CCh 267.4}
When compelled to travel on the Sabbath we should try to avoid the company of those who would draw our attention to worldly things. We should keep our minds stayed upon God and commune with Him. Whenever there is opportunity we should speak to others in regard to the truth. We should always be ready to relieve suffering and to help those in need. In such cases God desires that the knowledge and wisdom He has given us should be put to use. But we should not talk about matters of business or engage in any common, worldly conversation. At all times and in all places God requires us to prove our loyalty to Him by honoring the Sabbath.483 { CCh 268.1}
THIS WAS THE VISION OF OUR PROPHET ABOUT THE GROUP OF SDAs WHO FOUND WANTING BECAUSE THEY HAVE TRODDEN THE SABBATH UNDERFOOT.. THIS WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE.. WE CAN’T CHANGE PROPHECY BUT WE CAN CHANGE OUR WAY OF LIVING.
Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters, “Thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting.” I asked who this company was. The angel said, “These are they who once kept the Sabbath, and have given it up.” I heard them cry with a loud voice, “We have believed in Thy coming, and taught it with energy.” And while they were speaking, their eyes would fall upon their garments and see the writing, and then they would wail aloud. I saw that they had drunk of the deep waters, and fouled the residue with their feet,—trodden the Sabbath underfoot,—and that was why they were weighed in the balance and found wanting. { CET 101.1 }
The only way in which the Christian will be able to keep himself unspotted from worldly influence will be by searching the Scriptures and by obeying the Word of God to the very letter.{ OHC 204.3}
God is so strict to his LAW
Exodus 31:12-14 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

GIVE GLORY— THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST MUST BE REFLECTED FULLY IN OUR LIVES. WE NEED TO LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE FOR GOD’S GLORY- (HEALTH REFORMATION)-IT INCLUDES TEMPERANCE in all things, right DRESS, righ FOOD, right lifestyles , right music.. or complete reformation of our lives in every aspect
FEAR GOD AND GIVE GLORY = JUSTIFICATION BY GRACE through faith (IT IS GOD’S WORK 100%) + SANCTIFICATION BY GRACE through faith (IT IS GOD’S WORK 100%) = = RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST
