Thought for Meditation

Mingling of Nationalities

There is no person, no nation, that is perfect in every habit and thought. One must learn of another. Therefore God wants the different nationalities to mingle together, to be one in judgment, one in purpose. Then the union that there is in Christ will be exemplified. {CCh 288.1}

A Great and Strong People

Joel 2: 1, 2, 7, 8

1. Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand;

2. A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations.

7. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

8.  2:8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and [when] they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

A Great Movement

Life Sketches page 42

“I have been deeply impressed by scenes that have recently passed before me in the night season. There seemed to be a great movement — a work of revival –going forward in many places. Our people were moving into line, responding to God’s call. My brethren the Lord is speaking to us. ”

A Divinely Organized Movement

Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 10 page 17

“Here is a forecast of a great movement, a movement that is to carry on a work of a successful revival in many places. Here it is also seen that the people will respond to God’s call, and that this envisioned work of revival is to be carried by a Divinely organized movement, not by the Denomination though, and not by a man here and a man there. The movement is God-created, not devised by men.”

This Laymen’s Movement

Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 10 page 18

Clear it must be to every open-eyed Truth seeker that the revival which Life Sketches predicts and pictures is this laymen’s movement, for aside from this movement that is now on foot, slowly but steadily sweeping away the rubbish throughout the Adventist world, we have never as yet in the existence of the author’s writings in Life Sketches seen another such an organized movement carrying such a revival as this.”

Tract 4 page 57

“”Say ye [Jezreel] unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah. Plead with your mother, plead:…” Hos. 2:1, 2.

“Here is brought to view a laymens’ movement of both men and women who are to arise and proclaim the message of reformation to the church their mother. They are to plead:

“”Put away [your] whoredoms out of [your] sight, and [your] adulteries from between [your] breasts; lest [Father] strip [you] naked, and set [you] as in the day that [you were] born, and make [you] as a wilderness, and set [you] like a dry land, and slay [you] with thirst.” Hos. 2:2, 3.”

A Movement within a Movement

Tract 4 page 58

“Through this personified prophecy, we see that the Lord is not now calling forth a “new” denomination, even though the ministry continues to take the membership rights from the adherents of this reformatory message. Consequently, for its successful delivery to the entire sisterhood of churches, our banding ourselves into a body of workers as a movement within a movement, has been forced upon us. In brief, we are to confine our message strictly to the old organization, as did the apostles with their message…”

Two Opposing Influences in the SDA Church

An Impure Movement until the Harvest Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 21 page 3

“No matter how great and how effective a revival and reformation even God Himself may launch in His church, the Scriptures make it plain that both the sinners and the saints will be in the church until the harvest. No one need brag that the members of his church are all saints, that they are all of one accord. If they really are of one accord, then it must be that they are all tares, that there is no saint among them; that church for a certainty is not the church of which Christ speaks in His Word. If anything is plain in the Bible this one thing is.”

Matthew 22: 9-12

Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 21 page 5

“Though God’s servants be awake and do their work right, yet some of the members may fail to put on the wedding garment. A garment, you know, is something to put on the outside of the body. The garment, therefore, denotes a daily Christ-like deportment — the righteousness of Christ in one’s daily life.

“The fact that the man in the parable was speechless when asked, “Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?” shows that he was guilty of neglect, not of ignorance! He was without excuse, and he knew it.”

Matthew 25: 1-5

Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 21 page 5

“Again it plainly appears that the church membership is divided into two classes, the wise and the foolish.”

Micah 7: 13, 14

Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 28 page 16

“This Rod of God not only speaks, but It feeds, too. And what can It be if not “meat in due season”? if not the message of the hour? The people, explains the scripture, are those who dwell solitarily in the woods, in the midst of Carmel. Prophecy, for this day and hour recommends the message which the Rod contains, and which Carmel puts out, none other.”

Answerer Bk. 2 page 55

“In the year 1930, God again spoke to His people, as He spoke to Israel in the days of Joshua, but now, as then, there are among us the ten spies, the Korahs, Dathans, and Abirams, and the Achans–all such as love to make discouraging reports, who seek position, who covet the Babylonish garment, the silver, and the wedge of gold.

And as a result, we also are held back, and will continue to be until the Lord manifests His power and takes from among us the pretending ones, makes us free from sin and sinners, as in the time of Korah and as in the time of Achan, and says to us as He said to Joshua “Go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.” Josh. 1:2.”

Two Reaping and Two Cleansings

Tract 8 page 28

“Since both of these cleansings, moreover, took place at the feast of the Passover, and since, too, all who “had not sanctified themselves sufficiently” (2 Chron. 30:3; Ex. 12:3-6) were forbidden to participate in the Passover in the first month, but were permitted to prepare for it and to celebrate it in the second month (Num. 9-11; 2 Chron. 30:13), thereby is typified the purification of the church in two sections, thus showing still again that there are two gatherings, two sealings, two separations, two companies — first fruits and second fruits.”

THE NEED FOR WISE LEADERS

Ezekiel 4: 2

The Shepherd’s Rod Vol. 1 Tract

Also “set battering rams [margin — chief leaders] against” the city “round about.” The instrument with which they batter, of course, is clear, cutting, and convincing Bible truth. And this is the very obvious necessity for having in every branch of the work capable men to wisely lead.

Testimonies To Ministers p. 488

“While it is true that the Lord guides individuals, it is also true that He is leading out a people, not a few separate individuals here and there, one believing this thing, another that. Angels of God are doing the work committed to their trust. The third angel is leading out and purifying a people, and they should move with him unitedly. {TM 488.2}”

Testimonies To Ministers p. 485

“The Lord desires His workers to counsel together, not to move independently. Those who are set as ministers and guides to the people should pray much when they meet together. This will give wonderful help and courage, binding heart to heart and soul to soul, leading every man to unity and peace and strength in his endeavors.” {TM 485.2}

Filled Jerusalem with your Doctrine – Acts 5: 25-28 Larger Plans

“We are altogether too narrow in our plans. We need to be broader minded. God wants us to carry out in our work for Him the principles of truth and righteousness. His work is to go forward in cities and towns and villages. .

“We must get away from our smallness and make larger plans. There must be a wider reaching forth to work for those who are nigh and those who are afar off.–Manuscript 87, 1907.” {Ev 46.1, 2} Evangelism

NOTE:

If you have studied this message this far, I repeat, you are not an ordinary SDA, but that the Lord has already invited you to be His messenger to the SDA Church first and now, then to the world during the Loud Cry time. We know that the Lord is coming the 2nd time: But do you know that NO living SDA – us included, who will see the 2nd Coming unless he/she survives the slaughter of Ezek. 9? Do you know that the first to come is the false Christ – the Devil, before the True Christ – And by ignorance the world will be tricked by the devil to make the Image of the Beast? See GC 624:2.

Therefore, Brethren, time is becoming shorter, and we must get God’s work done. Continue to invite friends and relatives, if really we love them, and help them to study for themselves this preparatory message. The Judgment of the Living is close.

CONCLUSION:

Don’t Worry about the Possibility of Anyone’s hurting the Work of God

Timely Greetings Vol. 1 No. 11 page 13

“When this message began to unfold, the Laodiceans tried desperately to kill it, yet it still lives on and grows the faster. They are still trying to kill it, but since they were unable to do so when it was as small and as weak as a tiny blade of a mustard seed, how can they do it now since it has grown and borne fruit? We are therefore not to worry about a possibility of anyone’s hurting the work of God. Neither are we to worry about how we are to get to Mount Zion, but are to make sure to be ready to board the chariot of God when the angels cry out, “All aboard!” Let us ever remember that those who once wrecked the ancient kingdom and cast out its people, shall now come to build it up and to cast out the horns of the Gentiles who now rule the land, so even our enemies of yesterday God puts working for us today.”

MAY GOD BLESS. AMEN.
